Cool Tools – Microsoft Research ESL Assistant

May 18, 2010

This is a new beta software from Microsoft to help ESL students catch typical grammar and spelling errors. To help students decide which version is correct, ‘before and after’ web search results are presented.  Students are also presented with a thesaurus for alternate word choice options.

An Outlook plugin is avaliable as well.

You can try out the service at http://www.eslassistant.com/
